Monaco Funded Reforestation and Family Income Project is in Full Swing and Featured at Timor-Leste Trade Fair
On the occasion of the Trade Fair organized in Dili for the commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the United Nations-led Referendum, the Reforestation and Family Income Project Team from Ermera Timor-Leste, proudly display their banner honoring Monaco's support of 100% organic produce. A comprehensive and educational tent was set up to illustrate all the components of the Reforestation and Family Income Project in Ermera.The team leader describes the progress that has been made since September 2008.The Monaco- funded project plants shade trees so that coffee can be protected.Fish ponds are an added component to diversify nutritional intake.A demonstration kitchen garden has been created in Ermera.
With the use of local resources, such as bamboo, small nurseries can be adapted to any family.
